別號：有「倒在血泊裡的筆耕者」之稱

客家背景的小說家，一生為肺疾與貧困所苦，仍筆耕不輟。〈原鄉人〉寫對「原鄉」的想像與認同，長篇〈笠山農場〉以美濃笠山的同姓之婚為題、筆致樸實深情。修稿時吐血而亡，有「倒在血泊裡的筆耕者」之稱。
